Default is it normal for the engine to move/shift

also, if i'm at a stop light and i rev it while the transmission is in neutral, i can feel the engine move. is this normal? i had my friend look at the engine with the hood popped and it definitely would move to the side if i revved it.

as far as i know, this didn't happen in my previous 4 cars.

Buy my ETD
It will lessen the vibration.
Shoot me a PM if you want to buy.
It's NRG ETD and I'll let it go $90+shipping.

All motors are set on large rubber gaskets allowing them to move slightly when you rev the engine. Almost all cars I have ever owned basically rocked a bit when reved, but never moved off their bolts.

i have no clue what an ETD is (engine torque damper or something?) but it's not that i get excessive vibration through to the cabin....what exactly does an ETD do?

It is a device that suck up bit of engine movement.
Car will acel. little less abrubtly with it on.
Do some search about it and let me know if you want it, I have it uninstalled and just sitting around in my garage.

Your engine should not be moving as much as you describe. I mean if you can feel it, it's too much, unless you're really sensitive. Check the engine mounts and bolts. I had a nut come off my CRX before and it shook. Wow.
