Not 'Amused'...
Actually to clarify one point in what had happened, when I drove to the traffic light, my car wasn't noisy at all. The policemen simply gave me a ticket because they glanced over my exhaust and realized it wasn't OEM...
27156(b) states: """ No person shall operate or leave standing upon any highway any motor vehicle which is required to be equipped with a motor vehicle pollution control device under Part 5 (commencing with Section 43000) of Division 26 of the Health and Safety Code or any other certified motor vehicle pollution control device required by any other state law or any rule or regulation adopted pursuant to that law, or required to be equipped with a motor vehicle pollution control device pursuant to the National Emission Standards Act (42 U.S.C. Secs.
1857f-1 to 1857f-7, inclusive) and the standards and regulations
adopted pursuant to that federal act, unless the motor vehicle is
equipped with the required motor vehicle pollution control device
which is correctly installed and in operating condition. No person
shall disconnect, modify, or alter any such required device.""""
Under 40303.5 VC, Divisions 12, 13, 14.8, 16, 16.5, and 16.7 are correctable violations. Your ticket which was cited as 27156(b) is WITHIN Division 12. Ev, your ticket is a correctable violation. I've had tickets where the "pig" checked "no" on the correctable violation box, yet I still got it signed off and paid $10. The teller at the cop station where I paid the $10 even thought that it wasn't correctable until they punched it in the computer. Here is the website for all the California Vehicle Codes:

I really hope this would help anyone else with the "fix-it ticket worries."

I had that bullshit happen when I had a Trust exhaust on my Accord. It appears that mostly biker cops are the only assholes that give these dumb tickets.
Anyhow, it is only illegal to alter/modify the exhaust system to make it louder. This means hacking the piping, welding on a different muffler to make it louder. This does NOT apply to complete replacement exhaust systems that do not amplify the exhaust note that far beyond stock. Most NOOOBIE officers are too stupid to distinguish between a complete replacement system and a modified system. So they give out those bs tickets.
After hearing the Amuse at WOT and at idle, it sounds the closest to stock of all the aftermarket systems.
I fought my ticket and won. I took my car to a Sheriffs officer and he revved my car a few times with the Trust exhaust on, and he signed it off without issue. He wasn't even sure why I was ticketed for such a quiet system.
For your case, just show up with the receipts for the exhaust and it helps to also bring the db reading of the Amuse and the stock exhaust to court, should be dismissed with no problems.

I drove downtown Central, met up with a clerk at the traffic violations counter.
