NRG vs TIEN
I have the Teins, but like Cyclon36 stated I'm not a huge fan of the green color (honestly, does that Tein green match ANYTHING?) I never even noticed the NRG ones until after I bought the teins. I've thought about getting some carbon fiber vinyl or just painting them gunmetal, but I'm not really that concerned about it. So for now, I have the teins in their green glory on my car.
As far as quality, they're great!

But yeah, other than that they really don't match with anything.

I've got the Vision Hood Dampers from JHPUSA.com. They go up further than the Teis and don't have that Gawdy Green. It's only 3 more inches of travel past stock. I think they're only $100.00 and super easy to install.
This is as much off topic as it can be, but I work at NRG.
No really!

It is a little different though.

The Hood dampers were almost a godsend since I have the Comptech Intake and I didn't have to trim the Intake cover. Plus opening makes it easier to service under the hood since you do have more hood travel. I wouldn't go with the Green ones since at certain angles the hood damper casing is visible whe the hood is closed.
Since everybody is posting up, I figured I'd put mine in too
Here are my modified NRG's

It's really just a CF tube they put over a stock damper. Still looks good though.

Since I cut the extension, it doesn't have the really nice transition to the damper part but it still looks good.

Closeup of the joint.

A bit of a off topic question. Do you need to drill the mounting holes to install these dampers?
