I read bascially everything and I don't quite agree with what went on in terms of your going in there and going down that road with them, even if you feel "they started it." Many of them were plenty humble, had a solid understanding of the differences between the two cars, and were non-confrontational.

If you came in to my house and responded to anything I did with any kind of ego or aggressive nature like you did on here, I'd kick you out.

There are good folks in here and there are bad folks just like here. We all have the same appreciation and aside from ONE person in that 4 page long debacle, everyone gave respect where it was due and was not bashing the S in general terms even if they did say they prefer the NSX and feel it's a "better car."

dthonatune, you kept talking about getting childish/bashing responses in that thread but I really didn't see any until you were kicking a dead horse and there was nothing left to say. All points were covered.


I love my S but intend to someday have an NSX in the stable.

What I find hillarious is that dthondatune finds his trolling, misinformation and general immaturity positive traits.

You sir wasted a whole bunch of peoples time who were NOT bashing the S2k, but who were out to help you collect some basic comparisons between the two cars.

Im sure next time an S2000 owner comes by PRIME they will get a less welcoming reception then what you received. Well done. What an asset you are to your community.

I am a NSX Prime member and NSX owner. Have always admired the S2000 and came close to buying one. I am not a roadster guy.

Dthondatune complains about the treatment he got at NSX Prime and his complaints are BS. He came in there claiming to ask if/why he might want to buy an NSX. Many NSX Primer members have owned an S2000 and many own both. Just about 100% of the NSX owners respect the S2000 highly.

He doesn't understand nor appreciate Honda's vision for the NSX. Honda's design goals were different than they were for the S2000.

If you want to argue the performance per dollar issue - then you get into the quagmire of WRX (etc.). Not to mention the C6. I don't think any NSX Prime member would pay $70K for their car today. Only a few did. Most bought them for $25K-$50K.

So a thread that started with NSX owners trying to describe why they like the NSX turned into Mr. Dthondatune getting stupider and stupider. Many of the posters that had both could describe PRECISELY what the differences were and why the NSX might be worth a bit more money. If you guys don't think so - that's perfectly reasonable. So the OP turned into a 18 yr. old brat. He was worse the M3 bigots or Vette fanatics.

 

NeutralHonda, read the non-Dthondatune posts above yours, and it'll be clear we don't like what he did any more than you did.

 

Good post on S2000 on Prime, so I quoted it again. You can clearly see that the Primers are trying to help someone w/ deciding to get an S2000 in that other post. Almost all posts in that thread are positive toward the S2000, so don't let dhondatune, with his immature and embarrasing responses claim any S2000 bashing on Prime.

He made an fool out of himself and was embarrased, so he thought he'd come over to S2Ki and ask for "help". Now that's really embarrasing as an S2000 owner. Every S2000 owner I've met was always mature and sensible about Honda products, so I was surprised to see dhondatune turn into a kid on Prime.

I'm an NSX and S2000 owner. I love both cars. We can go on all day about about the NSX being "old" technology, etc, etc and the S2000 not being a "real" sports car, etc, etc, but in the end they are two cars each designed for a specific purpose and they do their jobs well.

When I get that NSX feeling, I jump in that car and the S2000 won't do. Conversely, when I get that S2000 feeling and need to go top down, the NSX won't do.
