Default Nubie definitions...?

Sorry to all you veterans out there, but I need/want to catch up!

Where did the term "Stook" come from?

What is the "Helm's manual"?

Thanks in advance!

Helm manual is the service manual.
Stook is just a nickname based on the "s2k" sound- some like to use it, some find it too coarse.
Welcome to the club

Welcome!

S + 2 + K became stook. I don't use it, cuz I don't like it.
Helm is the company that produces the manual.

Where do you get the Helm manual? Is it just the owner's manual that came with the car?

The Helm service manual can be ordered on the net at http://www.helm.com . I've also seen it available at a few Honda dealership parts department. This is a much more detailed service manual than what you would find in the owner's manual.

BTW welcome aboard!

Welcome to the club, XRMD! One of my good friends lives in Appleton. His username is aquatic, drop him an email or PM. He's always up for getting out for events and get togethers. His name is Keith...

See you around, I get up there a fair amount, we'll have to raise a glass sometime...

Greg
Thanks for the welcome note! Part of the reason I got the s2k last week was this club and all the great information available. Especially learning from others experiences - good and bad!

I'd like to get together sometime. My time is quite hectic right now. I work at a hospital and we don't have enough people to get the daily work done, so you know what that means...

all work and no play leaves only s2k!

I'd wait a month or two before buying the Helm. I have 3 of them for the S2000. The main one is the 00-01 and has all the info on the hardtop. It will probably have the updates for the 2002 MY. Check with them about when it goes to print.
