Number of 06 S2000's manufactured?

I can't speak to the history of "this is the last year" stuff but I can tell you that while it seems dealers don't have or get many they are not going for MSRP.
I'm picking up a '06 Laguna Blue for $31,700 Wednesday and that includes the $550 delivery fee (or whatever they call it). Of course on top of that is T & T.
I'm stoked about getting this ride.

Well, there are about 1,270 Honda dealerships in the US. I'm going to guess there are another 300 in Canada. Given that about 7,000 S's come to USA and CAN each year, you can surmise that an average dealership would see about five S2000's a year.
Given that markets are skewed, its likely some dealerships can go a year without seeing a single new S on their lots while others push dozen or more. Plus, with an average of five S2000's coming to a dealer in a year, and with the S coming in 7 different colors, your local dealer may never have your perfect car.
With that kind of scarcity, it can be hard to get a deal on an S, and it can be difficult to find the S you want. Considering how reliable they seem to be, how good they are on the road and track, how good they look, and how rare they are, be glad you got one!
