I run a CAI, anyone who does, usually is very very aware of water.. avoid it properly and it does not present a concern. DO Not enter deep water... learn about it... or, you can change it out easy... he has the factory air box..

Hope to get the car tomorrow. It has a lien that needs to be released then good to go.
picture or two to follow
Thanks again for the advice.

remember, we have a 150 picture minimum.... so don't be shy.... i'm only kidding on the minimum limit... take a pic or two.. we do love'm...

shifter is easy to change out.. an he has the original parts.. you try the short one for a while an see if you get used to it.. because this car.. will become an extension... if the short shifter still feels not just right for you, you can change it in 20 min..

little things you add to this blog.. mostly about the owner having the original parts to the car, impress me that this is a car to consider and buy.. I, ( we, S2000 owners/buyers ) love getting the original parts along with the goodies.. it's like double bonus buy..

was hoping to see pic's.. pic's always seem to show folks here something missed here an noticed there.. these guys are hawks on used cars... glad you checked it out and it gives you a feel of it is the one.. I knew mine was mine when I saw it.. makes most people ill.. I fell in lust.. go figure.. so your picking it up tomorrow, everything considered... awesome, thanks for sharing your stuff so far an looking forward to MORE....

I asked the owner to put the factory shifter back on. It takes 2 hands to go into reverse. I just want to make certain that it is just the shifter and not something else before I buy. Can put the short one back on later. The banks are closed tuesday so maybe wed or thur I will have a silverstone my06 and post a couple pics to see what others think about it.

Hello
Yes it is bought!
We settled on a price. He didn't budget much but life's too short.
I am doing final drive tonight because he put the factory shifter back on and i want to make sure it is good.
The banks are closed today so we are both getting the money and title together tomorrow.
Won't pay up and close until thursday because we are both busy wedneday.
I think the car is amazing with the CAI and Hondata tuned ecu (is that what it is?) and color matching factory hard top and good soft top. No wear through, rips or tears.
Thanks to you all for quick replies to my concerns.

Sounds like an excellent pick up, OP.

Is he supplying the Hondata FlashPro device along with the sale? Its the little plug-in device shown in the following link. It would be useful to have for the future if you ever decide to change up the performance of the car, and I believe once you use it the device is pretty tied to your specific ECU, so not much use in him keeping it. http://www.hondata.com/flashpro_s2000.html

I love sellers that keep all factory original parts, because I do the same. I think it speaks volumes about the way they care for their car.
