A member and a friend of mine had a secondary O2 sensor failure due to a broken catalytic converter. This doesn't come as any surprise to me but it does to Honda. His claim for warranty coverage was denied and the DSM claims he's never heard of any O2 sensor failures.

If you have had a Check Engine Light condition in which the code was "Secondary O2 Sensor failure" please report it here so I can demonstrate that this non-existant problem does in fact exist and is wide-spread.

I thought the O2 sensor and cat are covered by the factory warranty for 8yrs or 80K. Why is the DSM involved at all?

 

Good question but not the one I asked I'm looking for failure reports related to the cat converter and/or secondary O2 sensor.
