Are there any other reasons for resetting the ECU besides clearing a CEL? Just interested...

Sorry to interupt, but why would pulling the fuse help if pulling the battery cable didn't? I do agree that it make more sense to pull the fuse, for radio purposes. But if you do reset the fuse and the CEL is still on you have what's called a hard failure. Go to pep-boys or what ever and get the code, then make sure the connector is still attached to the sensor that's asociated with the code.
