Default Object on euro S2000s

What I noticed on pictures of S2000s in the Europe area are black objects in front of their headlights. Does anyone know what they are? Thanks
Chris

I believe they're the headlight washers.

I can confirm that they are headlight washers and are required in order to obtain European Type Approval. Some owners remove them - it's not illegal to do so.

Additional trivia - the switch the activate the washers is just behind the cup holder. I've read many complaints that it's very easy to accidentally turn them on by resting your arm on the center console, thereby giving your freshly washed car a new coating of ugly water spots.

That's why I have them disconnected.
