They put works of art like the Venus de Milo and the Mona Lisa behind locks, alarms, ropes, laser eyes, and armed guards. This is all well and good I guess.

But to my eye, the S2000, especially in black, is much more a work of art than an old cracked painting or a statue without arms. So why must I park it unguarded in a parking lot? If this world were fair, I would have my own guarded parking space for my black S everywhere I go, where it could not be dinged, scratched, or messed with.

And also, why should I carry passengers in my S? When I close my door, I close it just so, gently, with respect. Why should I carry a passenger who will slam the door, scuff the sills and leather, and generally treat my S as if it were less than sacred?

The Israelites had their golden calf, I have my S. This is my confession, I worship my S2000.
