Maybe it was supercharged and had to have the ECU reflashed when he removed the SC.

As for the battery, on my 2006 it was toasted by 2008. These are small batteries and the Florida heat doesn't help.

Carfox can only get you so far. Look over the car with a fine tooth comb. I pulled one on mine just to see what would show up and it's way out there. Apparently my car has 40,000 miles on it... but it really only had about 18,000 at the time. Strange...

carfax sucks. i pulled a Carfax and Carproof (Canadian company) on my S before i bought it and there was a lot of info missing from the carfax. also read any reviews of it online, i don't think many people can say they are satisfied with it.

I have an 06 and i had to change the battery in 08 it was with in 2 year of the car being sold so it was covered. I think i killed it cause when i clean the inside i would use the radio with out turning the car on and i would put the top down before starting the motor. things like this kill the battery dont put too much in to it. the reprogram maybe he would a part on and took it to the dealer to reset. or in 06+ if you drive the car and dont wait 15 min for the ecu to shutdown and remove the battery you can damage it.

FYI carfax sucks on my report there events that never happen on it. events that did happen are not on it. and its missing an owner lol
