Do you think a lock is going to prevent the theft of a fabric cover? I mean only the most hardcore criminals wield scissors, but still. Yes it has rings but id say they are for keeping it from blowing away.

Many, perhaps most thefts are of opportunity. People that are good at planning and thinking things through in advance aren't the ones that typically take the path down criminal behaviour. There is a reason they say criminals are stupid.

So yes, a simple lock that is easy to defeat with simple tools will protect most thefts of opportunity of someone just walking by and seeing something (the cover) they then and there decide they want to take.

You would not leave your wallet lying around with a was of money in it would you? My grandmother used to say: "I trust God but I still lock my car".

Yes, it does have holes for a cable.
A cable is good if it is very windy. It also can deter people from outright stealing your car-cover.

Thanks for the reply. I just got my ride today and it came with a cover but before I bought it I didn't know if it had the cable holes or not. I know it won't stop any thief or practically anyone, but it might keep someone who just happened by from snagging it.
