I got my oem front lip today and I noticed that the "rubber" part behind the lip itself(to prevent damage to the bumper) is gray. i thought the rubber was usually black. was it always like this or did honda change it to a less noticable color?

im just curious...

i work at a honda dealership and they got me one for wholesale price, which is 299.

its usually wholesale price + 10% of the price(so they can make a profit) but im friends with the parts manager and he hooked me up.

 

i noticed that in my friends car , but his rubber is black though its a euro spec though

 

I went and looked at mine and it's black. I don't know what to tell you about the grey. Maybe some rubber treatment would make it black (maybe it's faded).

hmm thats odd. well anyways, its actually SILVER. i think it also looks good with the white paint. maybe honda did really change it?

 

The new batch of GPW front lips use silver lining.....honnda finally noticed black contrasted too much against white.
