question about front lip

Default question about front lip

ok ive seen this stuff on a few front lips but not all, if any of yall knowjohn from pz both his z and his g have this grey looking plastic looking tape stuff between his front lip and the actual bumper itself, he said its to prevent it from rubbing but i have no idea whatits called, im planning on purchasing an s2k oem lip from a 3rd party, but it doesnt come with the tape stuff on it so i was wondering where i could buy it or what it is even called?

its not tape i think its some sort of rubber, and i think hardtopguy has it

If it's a genuine OEM lip, it must come with the rubber seal/weather strip. In any case, there's actually a part number for that specific piece. It's grey for Grand Prix White lips, and it's black for every other color lip.

I just tried looking for the post, but someone posted the part number for the black seal. Sorry, couldn't find it.

EDIT: here it is...

Part# for moldings.

08F03-SHJ-1100D Black Molding

the rubberized installation tape seal applies to ap2 lips, the ap1 lip does not use it. I've tried to use 3m tape on my ap1 lip but it throws off the fitment a tad, so I went back to running it without any tape.
