Default OEM hard top going away

Hey guys, I just ordered a hard top GPW OEM from hardtop guy. I figured I should bite the bullet now before they're impossible to order from again. It was either get this and a SOS supercharger after my December deployment or buy a E92 M3.

Wish me luck and hopefully the hardtop will arrive before the snow!

I know for a fact all silverstones are gone, got mine then tried to get another one for a friend and they're done. Good luck finding a GPW

I sure as heck jumped on a Suzuka Blue top when it went up for sale earlier this summer. So glad I did.

the prob with used ones is getting owners to ship. I'm thinking about leaving the windshield tape black even though the hardtop will be white. I kinda like the look

Even if they have to ship it will still cost HUNDREDS (at the least) less than it would to buy from factory. My theory is, yes it sucks they're not manufactured anymore but most people I know of either bought theirs' used or they bought the car with it as a package deal...they didn't actually pay the ridiculous factory pricetag. Plus the average years of ownership for these cars isn't high at all, and you'd never get the money you could get from a local sale for a hardtop if you sold it altogether with the car, so many owners are willing to sell/ship.

Leave the black tape...my friend took his off on a GPW and it looks pretty good but I still like it better with the tape. Plus some paint doesn't look so great after having adhesive on it for years.

yeah I like it better with the black tape, had a hell of a time considering white or black for the top.

It looks especially good if you have tint. The black blends well.
