Default OEM Hardtop

Got a local guy selling for $3800 painted in silver. I would need to get it repainted but he claims the condition is MINT. Don't think he's wanting to come down on price either. Is this a solid deal? How would I verify if it's indeed OEM when checking it out?

Seems solid if it is indeed mint. Check for OEM headliner, glass, hardware and side window trim. Where are you located? Prices don't vary much by location but usually cheaper in midwest, I've seen.

If you also need to paint it, I would pass on that deal.

It had better comes with all the OEM hardware and be in perfect shape. That is on the high side of what I would pay for one that matched my car. I'd probably look for something a little cheaper if the plan is to paint it anyways.

The OEM top is the only one that:
-Fits
-Is aluminum

So it should be easy to spot a fake.

Glass should be glass...and have a Honda logo for it to be original. But...I'm not sure if anyone else makes a glass window for this top.

**yes, I know mugen tops also fit... but the shape and materials are different from OEM.
