Hey, why don't you call him and ask him to be a sponsor?
From what I understand, he doesn't feel the need to. His prices are already low enough and word of mouth has gotten him a lot of business. I am no means a friend of him but am a very happy customer of his. I bought two high dollar items off of him and got some of the best service I have ever had.

Sorry Fumanchu & Jo2, but board rules state that you cannot advertise on the open forums without a S2Ki sponsorship (green stars). You're also advertising against a paid board sponsor.

I'm not advertising, i'm passing along the good word. I am in no way affiliated with the dealership in question, i've just purchased parts from them and experienced their wonderfull service. We shouldn't be censored because hardtopguy.com wants to charge too much and price gouge the customer.

Jo2

I understand your point, but you have to understand others.

You post names, numbers and prices. That is called advertising. "From what I understand, he doesn't feel the need to. " He has you doing it for him.

Now to add insult to injury "price gouge the customer." Get real. There is a price differant of 100 between them. List on the HT is 3500.

Sponsor paid for the right to advertise, and you don't even paid to be a member here. Sponsor supply the items given away at all S2000 events. With out sponsor and paid members, S2ki.com would not exist.

Thanks for your support.

That has to be one of the most ridicules things I have heard since being in the import car scene for over 10 years.

So me being an enthusiast cannot pass savings on to other s2000 owners just because the company I am referring is not a paid vendor? What's the point of the forum then?

I did my part and paid for a gold membership. I don't have a huge banner in my signature promoting Flaggstaff Honda. I didn't even post the phone number. The original poster asked about hardtops and I gave him a place with cheap prices and excellent service.

Yeah, what's the official rule? Can we only give props to vendors that are paid advertisers?

Weak.

I didn't post that line as to why they don't advertise, that was someone else.
You call it advertising, I call it letting the members know about good deals so they don't have to pay a higher price.

Now to add insult to injury "price gouge the customer." Get real. There is a price differant of 100 between them. List on the HT is 3500.
$100 difference, I think not.

Hardtop guy charges: $2,800.00 + shipping (estimated $400 on his site)

Flagstaff charges: $2,700.00 shipped ($2500 picked up).

Unless you pickup from hardtop guy, you're paying more then $100 difference. Even then, someone who lives in ohio could get the hardtop shipped to their doorstop and still be $100 richer then purchasing form hardtopguy.

Front lip

Hardtop guy charges: $369.00 + shipping

Flagstaff charges: $335 shipped ($315 picked up).

Sponsor paid for the right to advertise, and you don't even paid to be a member here. Sponsor supply the items given away at all S2000 events. With out sponsor and paid members, S2ki.com would not exist.
To be honest with you, I can't see a reason now to pay for a membership on this site. You guys obviously have no problem editing posts and censoring good deals from reputable members. Why should I sign up for that? It's sad that you are looking out for advertisers first, members second. They could be getting incredible deals but it's censored. If hardtopguy has a problem with it, he should lower his prices to match Eric at Flagstaff honda's superb pricing.

It really makes you wonder what other great deals members are missing out on because the vendors don't pay money first.
