[QUOTE=Jo2,May 24 2006, 03:18 PM]To be honest with you, I can't see a reason now to pay for a membership on this site.

Since this has gotten WAY off-topic, I made a new thread in the appropriate place.

I didn't post that line as to why they don't advertise, that was someone else.
You call it advertising, I call it letting the members know about good deals so they don't have to pay a higher price.

$100 difference, I think not.

Hardtop guy charges: $2,800.00 + shipping (estimated $400 on his site)

Flagstaff charges: $2,700.00 shipped ($2500 picked up).

Unless you pickup from hardtop guy, you're paying more then $100 difference. Even then, someone who lives in ohio could get the hardtop shipped to their doorstop and still be $100 richer then purchasing form hardtopguy.

Front lip

Hardtop guy charges: $369.00 + shipping

Flagstaff charges: $335 shipped ($315 picked up).

To be honest with you, I can't see a reason now to pay for a membership on this site. You guys obviously have no problem editing posts and censoring good deals from reputable members. Why should I sign up for that? It's sad that you are looking out for advertisers first, members second. They could be getting incredible deals but it's censored. If hardtopguy has a problem with it, he should lower his prices to match Eric at Flagstaff honda's superb pricing.

It really makes you wonder what other great deals members are missing out on because the vendors don't pay money first.

To be honest with you, I can't see a reason now to pay for a membership to this site.
Good! Be sure to allow the door to beat your ass on your out.
Maintaining a site such as this one happens to be a very expensive endeavor. Were any amount of vendors allowed to engage in what would amount to advertising without their having first paid for that service, then, soon thereafter, no amount of advertisers would see the need to pay for that service...and then S2KI would cease to exist.
Now do you understand this incredibly simple concept? Of course you do but you simply don't give a damn because you are of the mindset known as Why should I pay for it when I can get it for nothing?

Now shoo! And take the balance of your free-loading brethren with you!!!

wow, quite a debate in this post. btw, hardtopguy no longer carries hardtops because honda only makes them to order these days. something like 10 weeks+ lead time... flagstaff is on ebay, their prices seem good not sure about the wait, never did any business with them before.

just got back from a local dealer this evening. looks like prices went up a little and '06 is fresh enough so there is not a lot of factory insentives yet. i'll probably have to spend closer to $32k for the car & hardtop... fwiw, when i picked up my '03 new it was only $26.5k new. i guess it was a really really good deal.

It takes less than 2 weeks to get one shipped to your door. PM me if you want further info. I would hate to give a lower price to the s2000 enthusiasts that might be reading this.
