Default OEM lip

I was thinking about installing the OEM lip for my MY '00, but am not entirely 100% sure I want it. So, if I were to go out and buy one, install it and decided that I didn't like it. Can I remove it and the bumper will still be the same as if I never installed it? I guess my question is, is this a totally reversible risk free install?

If its OEM than yes if its a replica it may leave fine scratches where the lip meets the bumper (OEM as a liner that should protect it from scratches)

I have removed mine once to repaint it and the stock bumper looked fine.

So no drilling or any unreversable modifications to get it installed? As I understand it, it literally has pre-drilled holes at the bottom and sides of the bumper where the lip attaches to correct? If so, then I might just get a used lip and see if I like it, if not no issues.

You can probably just push the lip in place without installing and then decide weather you like it or not.

If the lip is left on for many years then I would imagine that there would be a difference in color due to sun fade, but no. There are no noticeable changes to the front bumper. You may have to drill but it is on the bottom, underneath the car. You will never see those holes until you jack it up for an oil change.

You will have to drill two screws on each side of the lip into the wheel well. Even if you remove it You can't see those lil holes cause of the black well + the tire

The OEM lip has a rubber/silicone lining on it to protect it from rubbing up on your bumper

Sounds like I just might get one and try it out for a while to see if I like it or not. Now the question is, where else can I get one for a decent price. The OEM ones are crazy expensive at something like 350 to 500 a pop! I'm willing to get one, but that's a little too expensive. I checked out Ebay, but it seems like the only ones on sale are unpainted JDM ones where I'll have to get it painted, not exactly what I want to do either. Any ideas guys?

Man knowns what he's talking about.
Just installed one this past week and every post here seems 100% correct. Get one - you'll like it and forget about it being on the car and move on to another mod.
