Default Oem Front Lip

Hi everyone, I found a oem front lip available online, but I had a few questions about installing it. I found the instructions online and it didn’t mention anything about drilling, but looking on youtube some people drilled holes in the bumper to install the lip. Does the oem lip require drillig or can it be mounted with the existing holes in the bumper? Additionally i’m planning on buying some clear wrap to protect the front of the car. Should I wrap the whole bumper and then install the lip, or leave part of the bottom of the bumper unwrapped since the lip will be covering it anyway? The reason i’m asking is because from what I understand the lip comes with double sided tape and I don’t want it to affect or be affected by the wrap.

Thanks!

This is for an AP2, forgot to mention this in my original post.

Below are install instructions for the lip. There are self tapping screws by the wheel well. Maybe that's the drilling peeps online are talking about?

As far as the wrap goes I don't know, perhaps some one else can chime in.

OEM lips do not require drilling of any kind except for the CR lip. As for the wrap I would wrap the entire bumper and then also wrap the lip. This way the paint under the lip is protected as well as the lip itself.

The two retainers on each side in the wheel well have spring clips slid onto the bumper edge and self tapping screws.

A drill is notated for the top hole, while the bottom hole is already open, and used as an alignment dimple for the bottom spring clip to align the lip to drill/install the top spring clip

Editing: As AP1 bumpers only have one dimple, AP2 have two, AP1's have to have the top one drilled

This. Look for 2 dimples on each side; that's where the self-tapping screws will go into.
