Agree, the OEM lip is approximately one inch lower than the front end. Entrances to lots and speed bumps are taken very carefully to avoid road rash, usually to the corner areas of the spoiler.

MY00 came with a OEM lip on it when i bought it... needless to say i have never driven a car that low and kinda thrashed the bottom of it. So what i did was i bought a different carbonfiber lip from seibon and got the bottom and 1/2 inch on the front lip covered in truck bed... it doesnt scracth off so it can take a hit and you cant see it unless you acctually look for it... works amazing

I did a Coastal Metals bumper protector. Kind of gives a "Lip-like" visual impact except it can take the scraping.

Here you can see it peeking out from under the bumper:

It only takes 1/2 inch off the ground clearance (it's a flat piece of metal with a nylon / plastic wrap on the leading edge).

I had an OEM AP2 lip before. I think it's around 1/2 to 3/4 inch lower (closer to 1/2")? Don't think it's a full inch.

You do have to be a bit more careful.

Putting my CR lip on soon (ya, I don't care if people call me a ricer). That probably is around the same height as well, but it has black plastic at the bottom instead of painted plastic. So it's probably a bit more durable even if you hit something?
