Default Oem Lip Install Questions

Planning to purchase at least one expensive mod this summer on my s2k either exhuast or OEM lip for a my00. Thats awesome how they come already pre painted but how hard is the install? Special tools need and do I have to take the bumper off etc? Any drilling? Is the best price for this OEM lip on the s2k marketplace section or is there a better deal somewhere else? Thanks!

Yeah they come pre-painted but I find it doesn't match worth crap. My SPA was way way off, no pearl in the paint and it was so thin you could see the black plastic underneith. Also I saw a berlina with the same problem!!!

The NFR I have seen was good though, no sure about the other colours.

I just got my lip repainted and it's much better than the OEM paint.

takes a couple screws
no drilling. take 1 minute
hardtop guy or find one used to your color they range about 200-250 used. and you can always get a cf oem style front lip a +
one minute, from one to ten on difficulty i'd give it a negitive 10,+ head screw driver a s2000 jack. no bumper needs to be taken off, no drilling might be www.hardtopguy.com(best deals new)

More specifically, MY00 - MY03 Front Spoiler Installation Instructions is the link for the PDF file that has the instructions for installing the front spoiler.

Looks pretty basic for the most part.

Good luck & Drive Safe,
Steve R.

i just installed my front lip...silverstone matched perfect, install is literally as easy as it gets. Holes are already under ur bumper, just screw it in.

Handaaccessories.com did a good job getting it to me quickly, and their pricing seemed solid...349 painted, ready to go

Earlier posts in this thread suggest that color matching was a problem. All of the OEM front lip spoilers which I've seen in my area (Florida) match extrememly well.

It shouldn't be a concern. If you purchase it from a reputable dealer, they would make it good should there be some lack of satisfaction on your part.

Installation is as easy as they say.
