OEM Rear Wing Spoiler

Whilst waxing away last weekend I was buffing out the rear wing and felt the underside. I found what appeared to be a line set into the bottom side of the wing and although I've felt it many times while washing and waxing, never paid much attention to it. And, I don't know if I'm alone in this, but I've never really looked underneath it before.

To my suprise, I've found a inlaid S2000 Logo.

Why would they place this in such a weird place??

As far as I know all of the OEM Honda raised spoilers have that. Not just for the S2K. My ex's '01 Accord has the same thing. I think Acura does the same deal, but I'm not totally sure.
