OEM SIDE STRAKE
I have a MYOI Spa Yellow and recently had my right side oem side strake damaged by a rock on the road. The front clip holding on the side strake broke off so now the side strake is pulling away from the car when the air from driving blows against it... What are my options.... (On a low budget right now)
I wouldn't mind just pulling pulling both sides off the car, but I think I'll have holes left from where the clip's were... I really don't want to buy new one's.
Thanks in advance for any low-budget ideas.

pretty big holes left behind, I went through 2 sets at the $400+ dealer price (gotta buy both L and R) you MIGHT be able to replace just that plastic clip and the double sided tape on the leading edge. If you cant find the clip some double sided body tape will probably do the trick temporarily. Good luck!
That clip consists of two parts. The one part is what sits in the side of the car. The other part is on the side strake itself. The pin on the strake gets pushed into the part on the car and "snaps" into place. One part holds the other part by spreading and holding splayed prongs.
Depending upon which part broke, that is the part you need. I think you will have a very hard time getting either part or even the clip as a set.
Emil, that is the best idea I've heard yet about how to hide those holes. I've wondering what I'd do when my strakes get busted off. And I just happen to have 2 round wheel "S" badges, too.

S badges to cover the holes.!!!!
Thanks for the responses....
I am going to try that.... As far as the double sided tape, I know that it will work temporarily, yet there's not a lot of surface area for any good adhesion there.
I guess I'll try to get the clip from the stealership...

I had similiar problem when I accidently backend onto a curb. The clip came off and the strake was held only by a screw at the wheel well. I had no luck finding replacement clip but my shop hold it back in place with double sided tape. It is not perfect but has been fine for few months.
I figure it will eventually come off especially when my S is lowered now. When that happens, I think I will just either take the whole thing off and fill the hole, or cover it with a side skirt. I will not go through another side strake.
