Default OEM Side Strakes

I helped a buddy remove his OEM Side Strakes that were installed by the previous owner.

There is a hole on the side where they mount the Strakes. I found this on the net and thought it looked great. What have others done to patch the hole from the OEM side strakes without actually having them filled in and painted over...

Personally I like the look of the strakes but I would NEVER drill a hole on the body to mount them.

What are your thoughts on bumper plugs to cover the hole??

That is about as perfect as you can get without an actual repair.

I would use Honda touch up paint around the edge of the hole and once dried spray the area down with a rust proofing gel type of product, then seal up the hole with the plug.

I've avoided getting strakes as I didn't want to drill that damn hole.

Probably looks good from a distance but that would bug me if it were my car.. I would have left them on. Luckily my strakes weren't installed with the hole drilled.

I guess its a decent option and gives us a way of Re-install the strakes again in the future.

I love the Strakes personally. It flows well with the car and the oem lip.
