Default OEM Trunk Spoiler and Trunk Opening Height.

Hey guys,

For those with OEM Trunk Spoilers, how much (how hight???) does your trunk pop open?
Mine will lift about 1", and i am thinking that it should open a little more.

Please let me know!

I assume your referring to how high the lid raises when you first trigger the button or remote.
I have an 03 with the OEM spoiler and it raises about an inch when released. Two other models I've seen open the same amount.

I have no spoiler, and the trunk opens a crack at best when I use the remote. Do I have a problem? I have 300 miles on my car.

Make sure you have the upgrade springs with the spoiler, most don't do it, but it make a big difference. If you don't it won't open more than an inch. After I put the upgraded springs on that came with the spoiler, it pops up maybe 4+ inches. Even more than the stock springs did without the wing.

thanx guys!

i'll talk to service manager next time i'm @ honda.
1" doesn't bother me too much to be honest.

i actually asked if they upgraded the springs and at the time they said they did.
who knows.

if its not gonna open all the way like some cars do, 1" is enough.....i guess

mine pops open about 1" but then again i got the saddle bag with some crap in there.. so i'm guessing that's wut's weighing down the trunk, probably why it doesn't open much. so if u don't have the saddle bag.. i'm thinking urs should open more than an inch..

Does it really matter if it pops up 1" or 6"? You still have to lift it up the rest of the way. As long as it pops up enough to unlatch, that's all that matters.
