There were only 30 CRs built for the 2009 model year. Only 1 Non A/C car in GPW.

Others are:
5 ABP
9 BB
8 RYP
8 GPW - Including the 1 Non A/C car

2009 CRs are pretty rare indeed.

That's all I have to say about that...
Just curious how you find that information?

9.5 years after I first saw the S2000 and just 8.5 years after I posted the thread above...

I just signed the papers on a flawless 2009 Berlina Black S2000 CR with AC/Audio tonight. I'll be picking up my new ride next week.

Just wanted to say thanks to the members who gave me a few tips along the way. I'll be posting more/better photos when I take delivery. It's going to be a REALLY long week...
Just curious how much did you end up play for the 2009 BB s2000 CR?

30 is what I'm finding in my research as well. Still a few holes that I'm hoping time will resolve...but I'm pretty sure 30 is the number for 2009.

I feel like I got taken for a ride, but I wanted the car and I was unwilling to sacrifice certain things about the car... I wanted:

- 2009 (Once I knew it was possible to have one...)
- Black or White
- AC/Audio
- Lowest miles possible

Based on that criteria and given that Autotrader.com was my only source for tracking down 2009 models, I found 2 that I was considering.

1. 2009 Berlina Black with 20.9 miles on it @ Russ Darrow in Milwaukee, WI
2. 2009 Grand Prix White with 71 miles on it @ Honda of Clear Lake in Houson, TX

I was quoted $34K OTD for the GPW model, but that only covered TX taxes/fees. I would have to cover the difference between that and IL fees. That would cost me at least another $600, plus the 2 days lost in driving the car from TX to IL, not to mention the gas, risk of damage, etc.

Ultimately I settled on paying a higher price for the Berlina Black in WI, as it was only 2 hours from Chicago, it had the lowest mileage I'd seen among 2009 or 2008 models and it was sitting in the showroom, locked, with signs all over asking people not to touch it.

I figured that was worth the price of admission. They would not budge below $34,500. I think (now this is just a guess) that they might have come down lower if I planned on financing through them, as they'd receive a kickback from Honda Finance for that. I am instead going through my credit union, so the price they sell the car for is all the money they'll make off of me.

Did I pay a lot more than I'd planned? Absolutely. But I got the color I wanted with the mileage/condition I wanted. And ultimately, that was important to me.

Hope that helps.

EDIT: I should also mention, $34,500 is the purchase price. Taxes/fees on top of that. Personally, I think the car is worth $35,000 OTD, so I think I got railed by a couple grand.

And I would like to point out to people before any disparaging remarks about cost is that rahvis bought an 09 and that his purchase price partly reflects that and the economy stabilizing.

I got an offer of 28k+ttl on an 08 CR. Got an offer of 32k+ttl for an 09 CR. You guys think it's worth it to shell out 4k extra for an 09? It's the same car right.

Thanks. I'm not sure I agree with the "stabilizing economy" part, but to each their own. But I will agree that many people believe this to be the case and it is certainly reflected in negotiations in home/auto sales.
