Often Disappointed, It's Not An S2K
Back when i lived in NY i was lucky to see one or two every month. Down here in Florida, I see at least 4 a week. Hell, there's even three s2k owners in my apartment complex (I'm the only one that rents a garage, guess i value my car more
).
).
I thought I was the only S2K in my area when I bought one, but as soon as I did I found someone in my neighborhood then bought one, same color as mine
Then about 1-2 months later, 3 of my friends bought one LOL.
I started a trend I guess.

I hear you - it's a rare pleasure to see another S2000 driver on the road in Macon, GA. I see two or three a month. A few weeks ago, I spotted one as I was pumping gas, and its owner has whiter hair than mine, but lots more of it. A few minutes later, we were both on the road and we waved at each other at the light - as I turned left, I spotted that he didn't have a GA plate. As much as it feels nice to greet another S2000 owner (who is enthusiastic about his/her car), I like that it's a rare pleasure.
My wife has an 07 Mustang. Her Mustang is probably unique, but it's still a Mustang. I see several of them every day. Oddly enough, when I drive her car, I almost always get a wave from another Mustang owner (which I return).
For as long as I can remember, I've wanted a 911. I see more 911s than I do S2000s. In two years, I think I've seen three other CRs. One of those was in Atlanta. I'm cured. I don't want a 911 anymore...okay, I kind of still do, but it isn't a craving. The S2000 is just a completely satisfying car to drive - gives me that feeling James May described.
Tomorrow is supposed to be sunny. I can't wait to get my topless CR out of the garage for the day. Maybe I'll get lucky and spot another S0000 tomorrow.

In the six and a half months I have owned mine, I think I have seen 4 others.
The best was one of the first days I got my s2k I was driving with my top down as I approached another s2k, who also had his top down. I gave him the wave and he must have not noticed until I passed. All I hear is 3 beeps and look in my rear-view to see him waving out the top of the car. I felt extra special owning an s2k that day, haha.

I don't usually confuse another car for an S. On occasion, from a distance, the front end of a Miata might cause me to think a bit more.
I see a quite a few S2Ks where I live. Most of them are stock and driven by older folks but always friendly with a wave. Oddly enough, most of the S2Ks I see have the top up. I almost always have it down!!!
