Default Oh, choices...

Decisions are hard people!

Currently test driving and trying to land on the right (and first) s2k. I would love your opinions on the following options!
2003 Honda S2000 Roadster at Emmons Motor Company in Pasadena, TX
2004 Honda S2000 2dr Conv - Inventory Trophy Motor Cars Auto dealership in Houston, Texas

Thanks all!

I'd pass on the last one, the blue 2003 with 150k. It's overpriced and the least attractive.
My pick of those would be the Silver 2004. Its an AP2 which is supposedly a bit more durable in the transmission and rear end but its an 8k rpm redline vs 9k.
My second choice would be the silver 2001. It looks like a good deal if it checks out ok. Drive it too and see if you prefer the AP1 or Ap2, only you can decide that.
The first blue one looks good also if you like the blue ok.
The white one looks ok, but modified so again its up to you.

So in summary: the first, second and fourth look best, prolly skip the other two.

Thanks for the reply! I had very similar thinking on each of those. Just getting home from the dealership and am picking up the 2003 Suzuka Blue with 61k tomorrow. A bit more than I was planning to spend on an AP1, but it has the least miles, the best condition, and felt the tightest in steering and shifting. I'm excited!

the top one- '03. 61k, but I like suzuka blue. Next choice is the '04 with 91K.

The rule is…buy the lowest mileage, s2000 you can afford, but don't quibble over 20K miles. The others are modified and I din't want to deal with someone else's stupid "modifications". I just don't trust "mods".

Congrats man. I think you made the right choice. I'm about 4 months into an 03 and it's a long term keeper so going low mileage vs younger pays off IMO.

I see the 2003 is sold. You got it? Looks good to me!

but its an 8k rpm redline vs 9k.
Meh. 9000 rpm is not a benefit, merely a difference.

Yup, that sold page that loads is my doing. Picking her up today around 1pm. Thanks for the input and glad to hear people agree with my decision after I pulled the trigger!
