Default Oh god, another header thread...

I've done tons o' searches on different header setups for this car, but I can't find anyone that has that similar a setup to me that has shown dynos and whatnot. Here's my deal: I have a CAI, and T1R 70 single and test pipe. I have an uninstalled VAFC and 4.77 gears coming on Monday. I just need a header.

I'm trying to decide between J's (really expensive) and Toda (more affordable). I don't care about midrange because I'll be sporting the 4.77s, so I need top end. Does anyone have experience with a single outlet 70mm exhaust, cai, and fuel tuning with either the Toda or J's header? I really would like to see some dyno plots to see whether the Toda is worth it or not, or if I should just bite the bullet and get the J's.

Thanks, and sorry for the repetitive header post.

I've seen several posts about quality control issues with the Toda, and Toda not standing behind it. If you want top end, why not look at the Comptech header? Designed for FI, so top end focused.

Well there are some used Toda going around, if they've worked for these owners I'm sure they're fine. I'll have to look into the Comptech - I definitely am looking for peak numbers here.

The Rick's has shown zero peak or loss of peak unless tuned (mine would be anyway though) in a lot of situations.

Anyone have a Toda or J's with 70mm single?

Good luck with that CTSC I was SO CLOSE to getting a Vortech but none came up used for a long time and I got sick of waiting, so I just went ahead and ordered the 4.77 FD. I'm happy though, those damn superchargers are like an extra hundred pounds!

I have a Toda, 63mm and tuned VAFC. Biggest gains were to mid-range.

Biggest drawback for either the Toda or J's is heat soak. Neither have heatshields. I jet-hot coated mine, made a custom heat shield and am considering venting my hood.

If I were starting from scratch again, I would go with the J's (70mm exit) to mate with the T1R 70mm.

How hard was it venting the hood? Mine has rock chips galore so I was thinking of maybe repainting it anyway.
