OH OH
When you hit the redline the throttle cuts out. I understand that, but why would it cut out before hitting the redline. What would cause this. It doesn't happen all the time, I just noticed it. I was accelerating in 2nd gear around 7000 rpm and all of the sudden it cut out.
Any Explanations.

if it is right after you start the car, then the car wont let you go past 7000 rpm until the car has warmed up sufficiently. You shouldnt be reving it that high though right when you start the car, or at least I wouldnt. If it is not right after you start the car, then i dont know. Hope that helps.

Sorry about that. I guess just dopnt pay attention to my first post. ON my AP2, right after I got it, i tried reving it up all of the way and it cut out at 7000 rpm, and when i took it to the dealer to have it checked out, the tech said the car just has to warm up before you can rev it all the way to 8000 rpm and that it was a safety feature toprotect the motor. Could have been full of crap though I guess.

Hmm.... Well, it's true that you shouldn't hammer the thing until it's fully warmed up. I didn't think the ECU prevented you from redlining, but it's possible. I am certain though that VTEC won't engage.
I couldnt tell you for sure since i am getting my info from a tech in Alaska, and since it is Alaska, pretty much everyone is a bunch of red necks, hippies, or people dum enough to want to live here. Once again, sorry if I caused some confusion. Maybe somone can confirm whether or not my theory was correct.
