Default Oh Shit! Bird Shit!!!!

Last week I made a short trip to blockbuster. When I arrived, I noticed a small dropping of bird shit on my roof. It could not have been there longer than 3 minutes. I immediately took one of my rags out of the trunk, and I removed the dropping by wiping away the problem. When I arrived later to my home, I noticed several line streaks on the roof from the bird shit. So I washed the roof, but it did not remove the chauk lines from the roof. So I researched the cleaning forum, and I decided to buy the ragtop products to clean and protect the roof. This weekend I carefully cleaned and recleaned my roof with the ragtop products, but it didn't work. I still have 2 or 3 lines on the roof that wouldn't come clean. Does anyone have any ideas? Help - Oh shit! Bird shit!!! GaToR

That sucks...seems as if the birds were on a rampage these last few days! Check OT for pics of Acceleratrix's"bombing" ...

I use the Mothers's vinyl top cleaner. It's a spray/soap that is specially formulated for PVC type tops. Also get a handheld soft bristled brush that the brushes are about 4-5 inches long and use circular motions while cleaning the top.

Good luck and hth!

I have seen that product. I'll try it out. Any other suggestions?

I've had the dreaded bird crap on more than one occasion, and I've found that Simple Green and a medium bristle tooth brush works great.
