Default Oil change?

I just got my oil changed for the first time at the dealership I bought the car from. Got it done at 4960 miles. I don't know if its the same for previous MY cars but the oil change reminder came on at 4925 @ 15% oil life. My brother picked up my car for me and I noticed the sticker they put on my car for next oil change says 10%. I assume this means bring it back when I have 10% oil life remaining according to the car. I don't drive the car hard but will this mean my next oil change should be in about 5000 more miles? seems a bit long, any input will be helpful, thanks

I've also been checking my oil levels reguarly and at about 5000 miles my oil level was about half way between full and low. Normal?

i do mine every 3k or so. iirc you are supposed to leave that factory oil from your new car a bit closer to 5k and you did that so it is all good.

The maintenance minder came on right before 5000 miles so I guess the timing was perfect for me

What percentage should the maintenance minder be (according to the manual), in order to get the first oil change?

I am too lazy to look it up in the garage.

do it every 3000....honestly your oil still gets dirty at 3000 miles or 5000 miles...your just circulating dirty oil til 5000 miles.

yea if you use synthetic the particles might not have burned up yet but its still dirty right? so change it. every 3000 ensures good clean oil

i would stick with the traditional 3000 miles if you got the money to buy an s2000 you can afford to give your car clean oil and lengthen the life of the car.

Every 15000km as stated in the manual, it's not at all dark at that moment, no fuel in it whatsoever.
