Silver- I'll add you to the list but, I feel I should tell you now that I don't intend to sell it. I want to keep it in almost new condition so I can use it as my daily driver when I get out of grad school. That way I won't be tempted to fall into the BMW trap that a lot of accountants fall into

Most use 10W30, some of us use 5W30 that is a bit thinner. Honda recommends multi-viscosity range of 5 - 40.

I think BlkS2000 was asking when he should take the S2K in for the oil change - not what type of oil and weight to use!

I'm not an expert (by any stretch of the imagination), but IMO, you should have done your 1st change at 1000, and (because of your low mileage use), should do all your future changes at the recommended monthly interval which is equivalent to the appropriate mileage. In other words, go by the monthly interval, not the mileage interval. I also believe you are liable to run into problems with the Honda warranty (especially on engine work) if you don't have oil changes done at the frequency they recommend - whether by mileage or monthly intervals.

Am I right, people?
