Default oil change with supercharger: simple? hard? in-between?

SC owners, please let me know: does having the SC significantly complicate changing the oil?

I think I just took it in the rear from my dealer on an oil change, but will withhold judgement until I hear from you do-it-yourself guys. I started another thread about my dealer experience if you hunger for details (there aren't many).

When I called back today and questioned my bill amount, I was told they added 1 HOUR of labor for the oil change because of the SC - and their hourly rate is $85

Why would it make a difference? The oil still goes in the same place and the oil still comes out the same place with or without the SC, doesn't it?

A Honda Tech might worry because the oil return lines taps into the plug in the pan. It`s still simple.

To put in simply...

You've been had!

Of course, no one else has ever been taken by a dealer.

I would like to see what their explanation is though.

Probably took the kid an hour to figure out what to do. Never seen an SC before....goes to drain plug and finds a hose going in instead of the normall plug. Too proud to ask you. Goes to other techs....golly jee never seen wonna dem before. See Comptech logo and search the net, call Comptech to get instructions about oil change. No the change is no different but the y may have had to research so they didn't mess up your car. Consider it a lesson learned.

thanks for the responses.

I didn't think the SC added in any significant way to changing the oil.

I haven't been able to talk to the service manager yet, but when I do I will make sure he understands that getting any further business from me depends on how this is resolved.
