Default Wierd smell

After going out for a drive and coming back and parking my car in the garage, I have this aweful smell of burning rubber coming from the rear wheels. Does anyone else have this problem or am I alone?

I've had that same smell several times. After using all of my diagnostic skills (and letting my girlfriend drive while I sniffed) I've determined -- without a doubt -- that it's burning rubber.

What size wheels/tires? 19's will fit OK as long as you don't drive the car, then they rub and burn very nicely.

There was a really bad smell of rubber burning coming from the back of Strike's car just after we finished a high speed run through the twisties of Santa Monica mountains recently. It was most definitely his back tires; they were smokin' real good!

I drive it like I always do, like you are supposed to. I've got stock wheels and tires and they definately not rubbing on the car. Come on guys, no help with this stinky problem? Is it only Strike and I that have this?

I have a solution for you, it's the only way I know will work and fix the problem. If done properly, this solution will fix the problem 100% of the time and if the solution is implemented 100% of the time, the problem will never occur again.

The key to fixing this problem is very simple actually, infact, so simple that most probably won't think of it. The solution to fixing this problem is to stop driving the car.

I find if I do a lot of bad clutch drops I get a smell akin to napalm on a leper colony.

If I get the rear end a bit loose I get the burning rubber smell.

And if I get the rear end totally out of control and completely loose it I can detect the distinct smell of human faeces
