Oil Comsuption on used s2000?
Hi, I'm in a market for a used S2000. I read in the forum that some S2000 have oil consumption problems (i.e. burning excessive oil for a short time frame)
Is there a way to tell if a car has that problem?
What model year(s) seem to be the most suspectible to this?
Any other problems I should be looking out for, especially for used S2000s?
Thanks for your help.

If they're smart and dishonest, they'll refill the oil & replace any fouled spark plugs before you get there though.
Hard to prove a negative, it is.
Look at the exhaust tips. Even if it is clean, drive around with it for a bit and you'll see it get dark quick if it burns excess oil. Some will say that it is running rich but it isn't all carbon due to running rich, it is burnt oil also.
