Default Oil filters for the S2000

Hey guys about to change the oil on the CR. They charged me $17 for the oil filter at the dealership. And Oil costs around $20 or more. Was woundering where do you guys buy ur filter at or do you really pay $17 for them? Honda charges $40 for a oil change for the S2000 by me. But i don't want a new kid changing my oil and F***ing it up. Thanks for any help

I bought a 6 pack of filters and washers from http://www.handa-accessories.com/s2000-04maint.html

Tip- when you get the filters and washers - tape the washers to the top of the filters. That way, 2 years from now when you're on your 6th filter, you'll still have that washer around.

I just bought my oil filter from a honda dealer and it was only $12 as well. Plus they just gave me a washer even though I let them know that I already had about 5 or 6 laying around

I bought a bunch for around ~$6 each on ebay about 2 years ago. You have to buy them in bulk.

Here's a link to ~$10 filters:

I took an Amsoil filter appart for the S2000 and did not like the fact that the bypass spring was extremely weak compared to the OEM filter (both OEM versions). The filter media seemed to be of good quality but what use is that if it's always bypassing.

Once I run out of filters I'm going to use CM filters along with Amsoil oil.
