Some people were hoping that since there was going to be a "re-design" of the S2000 in '04 that this would also include creating a coupe version of the S2000. Personally, I was hoping against a coupe version, because that is the only thing that would make me regret buying an '03. I would prefer to have a coupe over a convertible.
However, since the coupe was not offered for '04, and since no one has heard any rumours of any additional re-designs coming soon, then the discussion of a coupe was probably considered moot.

We can't talk about it if it doesn't exist. We can start talking about the MY07 S2500 though.

They have those little pull-n-go cars in a coupe version at HandA.com

Maybe we can water one and it will grow.

The pictures that I saw of it were all proven to be fakes.

Yet Porsche is planning to build a coupe version of the Boxster I believe. I think it's a dumb idea myself. Why can't a particular car remain one thing only?

If you want a coupe, there's plenty to choose from.

Because some people enjoy that look. Now, why isn't there a coupe? Money, if you want the coupe look, you'll but a hardtop, $2800-$4000. Then you'll pay some schmuck at the dealership to install it, $200-$500. That's a total of $3000-4500 per person that wants that look.

So, if there was a coupe version, they'd add what? $2000 to the MSRP for it? Seems a lot more profitable to offer a stick on option rather than re-engineer a vehicle and run two production lines.
