The time has come for me to buy a house so I'm trying to cut expenses. Looking through my financials, the first thing that jumps at me is the S2000 and my car payment. Anyone that has met me on a SoCal drive knows how much I love this car, and how hard this is for me to do, but...

I'm looking for someone to take over the payments on my lease. I'm in Chicago right now on business (definitely no convertible weather here) so I don't have the full details, but basically... I have over 4 years left on my lease @ 12K miles per year. So far, I'm right on track as far as mileage. My payment is a little under $500, and I'm not sure what the residual is, but I know it's a little high.

So, if anyone out there in the Southern California area is looking for a great car in superb condition and doesn't want to go through the hassle of working with a dealership, let me know, and we'll set up a time for you to come by and see the car.

Here are the details:

20001 black/black
approx 7000 mi.
Rick's center console and 7/8 windscreen
Honda OEM front lip spoiler
Honda OEM rear deck spoiler
2002 S2000 shift knob
Honda OEM front speaker package

lease terms:

approx $490/month
approx 40 months remaining on a 48 month lease
residual unknown but can provide upon request

SOMEBODY TAKE CARE OF MY BABY FOR ME!

Brad,

A word of warning. When you have someone assume your lease, you are kept on as a guaranteeor to that lease. So if the new leasor does not pay, they come back to you. Just thought you should know. I'm going through the process right now with American Honda and my father. But since it's my dad, I'm not too concerned. I don't know if you went through American Honda or not, but you might want to check in with the leasing agent.

Brad, you don't make sense. Why would you go and buy a new S2000 garage after selling the car?
