after the salesman handed me the keys for the first time (not my first time in the S) i turned the key and thought "wtf, i didnt even drive it off the lot and something is wrong." in my excitement i forgot the S had a start button.. took me a few seconds to realize that.

I love watching people try to start my S, I took it to the dealer once so they could program and cut me a new key and the guy sat in my car for like 2-3 min. trying to turn the key then came and asked me to start it for him!!! That made my day cuz all I did is put on foot on the clutch without getting in the car and pushed the button. He felt like a dumbass cuz he was suppose to be one of the BEST mechanics their!

Rob, this is what happens to you when you are approaching threshold of being able to join the Vintage S2K Community. Other reasons could be as follows:

1). You were dreaming about Danica on our next photo shoot opportunity next Wed night at the Hard Rock in Tampa,

2). Mrs Primogen gave you a spcial "wink" goodbye as you walked out the front door to go to work this morning,

3). You were still wishing that you could trade for Cheryl's S/C White S,

4). Trying to figure out how to buy my new Berlina Black Hardtop from me to further your addiction to modding out your existing hot rod,

5). Wishing you had a garage like Scott so you would not have to be dreaming about buying his new Berlina Black Hardtop.

....Just laughing with you, not at you!!!

Lol something of this sort happened to me too.

I had just reversed out of Sonic in an LX470 ready to go.

I put it in park thinking it was drive (I had a long day)
I step on the accelerator and im not going anywhere.

2 seconds later I wonder why its not working. So i thought i would just "reset" it by going back to reverse and to 'drive' again.

I put it back in reverse and back in park thinking it was drive again.

I step on the accelerator and I just hear my car revving.

Then i look at my friend thinking my car is broken or something and he looks at me like im retarded.

edit:: didnt make sense the first time ha.

Hahahaha!

I got one for ya

Woke up last weekend and drove to my mom's to take her to the airport. Get back in my S, put in the key, turn it... it won't turn...
turn the wheel... try and turn the key... nothing
flip the key over, try again... wiggle the wheel... nothing

sit there for a minute trying to figure it out...

realize I'm using my prelude key... grab the other keyset on my caribeaner/lanyard insert it, turn key, start car, drive to airport... laughing the whole way.
