how FREAKING UGLY the new 08 rims are. I mean talk about the proverbial "makes me want to puke" hell i wouldn't like them even if i was drunk.

I am the first to admit looks are subjective but damn they make the previous rims look real good.

That's a weak stomach there. I'd hate to see what happens when you see some of the truly hideous rims out there...

Since 2006+ S2000 have had ugly wheels. Whats odd is they both look like Miata (MX5, whatever) wheels. The flower wheels are still better looking than than the 08s, and I think most will agree AP2 V1s are the best looking wheel (2004-2005.)

I think the first year wheels are the best design wise (just need to be 17s) and the 04/05 has the best overall (size, style).

I like the 06-07 wheels the best, but the 04-05's weren't too bad. The 08 wheels are okay, they just seem pretty "been there, done that." I don't like the AP1 wheels at all though, way too bland. Actually, I prefer the AP2 styling both inside and out anyway.

*Note: I prefaced that last statement with "I prefer" in the hopes of merely stating my opinion and not downplaying anyone else's as to avoid yet another AP1 vs. AP2 civil war.

I'm not sure that most will agree (maybe), but I am one who prefers the AP2 V1 rims.



However...
- I thought the AP1 rims were a perfect stock look for the S2000 when it debuted. Still like them.
- I wasn't sure about the AP2 V1 rims until I saw them in person. They grew to become preferred over the AP1s.
- I wasn't sure about the AP2 V2 rims. While they've grown on me, I still don't like the "flower" in the middle. V1 has remained my favorite.
- The '08s seem just okay to me. However, I have yet to see them in person, and the others have grown on me, maybe these will too.

That is my extensive two cents.

i like the MY 04-05 best not just cause i have them
