EVERYBODY wants to tell the whole wide world what a great deal they got. NOBODY wants to run the risk of looking bad if it turns out they didn't even come close.
If you don't tell, noone will be the wiser, including yourself!

I may be way off here, and definitely not that I've done any major work to my S, but I'm guessing that not too many owners want to publicly tell how much they've spent on their rides. Plus, I'm sure we all "know" somebody in the business that can hook us up with some deals. On a PM - that more intimate info might be disclosed - however, we don't want anyone, we may not know, using our connections just for shits and giggles. It's also kind of the "the was this big" situation.

Anywho, those are my 2 cents. From what I've seen, those who have mod's done will tell other's what their preference is, and where they got it. The other times, a PM might be necessary to further the conversation.

I personally enjoy the posts that have no $ listed better. That way I don't go ... WTF I wouldn't put that much $ on that mod!

Makes dreaming easier. :-)

Hey WantOne, no worries about your personal problems, but what's up with your cousin? The second one from the left? I can't remember what thread it was, but it was the one in the pic with the six, or so, cousins? Tell her I say, "How you doing?"

I'm kidding. My wife doesn't like me talking like this... unless she's around. Have your cous PM me and I'll introduce her to my wifey, if she' down for that?

I believe that both reasons are right. Either you got ripped off or you have a price that you cannot reveal to the market. This messes things up when people hear a wholesale or manufacturers price because the majority expects the same deal. What I do think is if the person either includes or answers a question about price with the retail if they remember. Just to give others an idea about the cost.
