I saw this on eBay. MY00 used with 49 miles on it. Ok, how did the buyer drive it home?

If you read the auction it states:
THIS VEHICLE IS BRAND NEW. THE OWNER HAD THE VEHILCE SHIPPED FROM THE DEALER TO A STORAGE UNIT AND NEVER DROVE IT. THE VEHICLE HAS THE LIMITED PRODUCTION RED SEATS, CD CHANGER PLUS IN DASH CD, CONVERTABLE BOOT COVER, ALL THE BOOKS AND KEYS PLUS I HAVE THE ORIGINAL CERTIFICATE OF ORIGIN FOR A VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE HAS NEVER BEEN REGISTERED.

I just could not see not driving it. Boy did the owner miss out.

 

Makes me nearly cry. It's just like mine... well a year older.

 

I wonder if someone thought it would be a collectible. You know the old this is the only year it will be produced, only 5000 made, etc. that so many people were told.

 

49 miles sounds a little high to me for being brand new. When I took delivery of mine, it only had 14 miles on it.

 

In the pictures it looks like they drove it to the car wash. Maybe that would account for it?

Going price is about the same as a new one. Not a head scratcher there
