Oldest and lowest miles on your S
Hey Happs, I have to wonder why you aren't driving the S? I travel in Pa almost every year, Berks county mostly. I would think the Pa roads might be pretty fun in your car. By the way, when I bought my car, a silver/red was sitting right beside mine. I really liked that interior best, but that car had higher miles and looked a bit worn
I have grown accustomed to the black interior and actually like it now.
Also to rioyellow, I think I resemble that guy you are talking about who waxed his car etc. I am trying to keep it looking as original as possible. It is kind of becoming vintage with all the changes that have taken place.

That means my opportunity to drive the way I'd like is limited. I'm hoping to get into grad school, partly so I'll have more time to drive my car (assuming I can still afford it at that point).Give me a shout next time you're driving through PA. That'd be a great reason to get my car out of the garage!
Are you guys with extremely low mileage on your S because.
A. You have several cars and don't have time to rack up miles on your S.
B. You choose to keep the mileage low because you believe it will retain better
resale value.
C. You view your S a summer car and live in part of the country where driving it
is only possible 6-8 months of the year.
I personally drive my car as much as possible, I average about 18k a year and
15k of that is in my S2000. 56k after 47 months. I have a winter beater but only
use it when weather is atrocious, I'm going somewhere with more than one pass-
enger, or I'm going to purchase something that won't fit in it. Not driving this car
IMO is like leaving the plastic on your new sofa.
While keeping the miles low
will give it better resale, I don't think the couple of extra $$ you'll get at trade in
time is worth depriving yourself the pleasure of driving your S2000. Keep in
mind however that this is coming from a guy who's only other driving option is
a 1992 Mazda MPV and perhaps you'll understand why I prefer to drive my S.

Lets see:
1st S2000 = 2000 model purchased with 15000 miles. Sold with 50,000 last year
2nd S2000 = 2005 model purchased in may, currently at 14,000 miles. I drive this car EVERYWHERE. It won't be sold as i've made that mistake once, so I'm going to keep racking up the miles all across the great state of Texas.
I will probably avg 20,000 a year or better.
