My first was a 1960 Austin/Healey Bug-Eye Sprite. 52 next fall.

dlq04 that Allard is beautiful. S2000's not withstanding. I have an old LP record that has sports car sounds from exotics from the late fifties I think the Allard was one of them.

I remember those LP's (even with atrophy... in fact I got a bunch of 'dem bowling trophies). Anyways, it would be neat to hear one of those LPs again. Always loved the Bug-eye; in fact, a old friend used to run a Bug-eye repair shop. My most vivid memory is watching one flip end over end at Waterford Hills race track and the driver climb out without a scratch.

Be 67 in June, '05.

My first car was a 1932 Chevy coach. The S is about my 39th. How many Durant owners out there(1)? Hudson(1)? Studebaker(3)?

Gerry
I'm 62 this month. My S is my 28th car (I think).

Ive had 2 Studebakers. A 56 Power Hawk and a 63 Avanti R3.

What's funny is that in 30 years, some of us younger folk will be posting on the KIA website for their monster super car the R450GT and someone will ask us about our first cars, and we'll reminisce about that S2k...

We are just about to hit 300 members!! Woohoo!!

The oldest member that I can find is Starbrd (Herman). He'll be 75 this year.
That's right! Three quarters of a century!

There was a thread on this topic several years ago. At that time there was one member who was older than I am.

This spring I am getting new rubber for my S2000 and new sails for my boat. The cost is about the same, but the previous sail lasted a lot longer!

Whenever I think I'm doing pretty good I take myself down a notch or two by realizing that Paul Newman is actively racing at 79. in addition to acting in movies and all the other stuff he does.

Good point; he's an inspiration. You aren't doing too bad either.

At 66 years and 5 months, I think I have a chance of making it into the top ten. My additional qualifications include:
- Married 43 years
- 4 grandchildren
- Prostate smaller than a grapefruit
- Lower back fused with four expensive screws, two pins and a cage, all of titanium

As to the S2000, at the end of this month it reaches the magical 36 month point and its warranty goes away. Running great.
I'll take you word about the Prostate; but I did mean to ask you about the lower back. Have you come up with anything to ease what must be some pain when traveling in the S? My wife has issues.
