Herman...you are still around!!
If he was not round he'd be square. If was square, he would never have bought an S2000.

ok, I have been to happy hour. ... I'll stop now.

Thanks for starting this thread in S2000 Talk. We've had some peeps who didn't know about the Vintage Forum and are coming over to say hi and hang out (or join). Just went over the 300-member mark!

I'm bringing this thread back to give a heads up about our oldest S2Ki member - Herman, aka Starbrd. He has just celebrated his 10th S2Ki anniversary (User #429), but has suffered some serious medical issues the past year or so. He has always been an active member, especially in Vintage, and attended many meets, the last one being Spring Fling in Cape May, NJ last year (at almost 80 years old!). Unfortunately, he had to sell his S a couple of weeks ago. Anyone who wants to send Herman a card or note to cheer him up, I'm sure it would be greatly appreciated!! PM Lainey, or I can email you the addy if you are a Guest. Thanks for your support.

[QUOTE=Starbrd,Feb 4 2005, 12:51 PM] That's right! Three quarters of a century!

There was a thread on this topic several years ago. At that time there was one member who was older than I am.

This spring I am getting new rubber for my S2000 and new sails for my boat. The cost is about the same, but the previous sail lasted a lot longer!

Nice bump on this topic, Deb.

As Deb mentioned, I have contact info for Herman if you'd like to drop him a note.

Waiting for your PMs.

^ Thanks...I saw a copy of your note. Very nice.

Here's a link to the thread in Vintage where many are sending best wishes, if you'd like to post there instead of sending a card/note. Rob (ralper) plans to show him the thread this weekend, and we are hoping he will be able to be online himself soon.

Thanks for providing that link, Deb. I wish I had thought of it. I'm a little slow on the uptake this AM.
