Default olive-drab s2000's in japan-1999

my wife worked for the japanese government [post doc] from 1998 to late 99...during this time i was almost commuting from calif to tokyo every three weeks..we lived in a fairly rural area in nagano prefecture and were cut off from the cool tokyo car scene..however, one day we stopped at a honda verno showroom in matsumoto because they had a new silverstone on display.it was pretty cool but i had seen s2000s in tokyo and we had gone to the tokyo auto show and saw a well-worn yellow with a then unavailable hardtop. back at dealer, out in the service bay was a flat olive drap s2000 on a lift... i asked the salesman what the deal was and he couldn't really say...it appeared for service driven by local factory rep....i made a point to watch the dealership for a few weeks, and one day it disappeared.....the dealer had no information but said he was aware of several in the rural areas...again, all vanished. i know this is ancient history but anyone out there know about the green s2000's???.....[bought a silverstone/red in nov '99 on a short stay at home in calif..it had a 1999 build date..drove it for 9 years and then got a CR]

I am pretty sure I remember seeing an olive green color available for S2000's on the Honda Japan website. They had a lot more colors there, including different colored tops.

Could have been a theme color for a corporation or even a car meant for a mmovie or TV. Of course it could be some individuals idea to be just a little different. Probably not a color ever offered by Honda.

Honda never sold a matte-colored S2000 and the closest green was the Lime Green Metallic. Flat black I could see on an early mule or prototype, maybe green as a version, who knows.
