some of you guys' logic is so puzzling....

you want a lighter, higher revving, more hardcore roadster....

then want

navigation, more cupholders, heated seats, etc.

??????

 

decontented, less expensive version sans power top, leather, cruise control, stereo, power locks/windows. Could cut ~$3500 from the price. This would also cut poundage too for better performance.

Kinda like the Evolution RS in relation to the Evo VIII which is $2800 cheaper

 

Radio sucks.. Can't believe this wasn't said yet. lol
I was spoiled with my stock 240 watt Bose Miata system.. Oh how I miss it.

 

i love the car to death...

but it's only got 7K miles on it and it's starting to rattle....seats rattle, dash rattles, etc.

usually i just crank up the tunes and ignore it - but it is annoying sometimes

 

You don't buy this car for the radio. The engine is the music.

 

It would cost them more to make another version than they saved in parts. If you wanted to save $3500, you'd have to give up the engine.

 

It's the easiest thing to change.

 

inline-5 for more hp/torque. it's been done (mid-90's prototypes)

+1 for the power locks for passenger...reaching over feels like im in an old crappy car..feel like im about to roll down the windows manually while im over there...
